The Memphis Grizzlies are inviting the fastest babies in the Mid-South to participate in the annual Grizzlies Infie 500 Diaper Derby presented by Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital at halftime against the Utah Jazz on Sunday, Dec. 18.
To enter a baby in the mother of all baby races, family members are asked to submit an online entry on grizzlies.com explaining in 50 words or less why their baby should be selected. Entries will be judged based on the creativity of their content. Submissions are being accepted now through Wednesday, Nov. 30 at Noon. Babies must be between 6-12 months to participate. Babies who can walk are not eligible.
Finalists will be notified no later than Friday, Dec. 2. and receive four Terrace Level tickets to the Dec. 18 game against the Utah Jazz. Those selected are required to attend a photo shoot to be held at FedExForum Wednesday, Dec. 7.
On Dec. 18, the fastest baby will crawl away with the grand prize of the coveted Golden Bottle Trophy, a $50 Gift Card from the Grizzlies Den by adidas and the priceless recognition of being the 2016 Grizzlies Infie 500 Diaper Derby Champion.
Guidelines for the participants are as follow:
- Babies must be 6-12 months, but cannot be walkers. Only crawlers need apply. No children over the age of one will be allowed to participate.
- Two escorts may accompany the baby to the game and will be permitted on court.
- Parents/Guardians may use objects (toys, keys, etc.) to encourage babies along the course.
- Race Course will extend from the foul line (free throw line) to half court, a distance of approximately 42 feet.
- If at any point race participants become uncomfortable with the situation (crying, refusal to move, etc.), parents/guardians may remove their baby from the race.

The “Grizzlies Infie 500 Diaper Derby” contest begins November 7, 2016 and ends December 2, 2016. ("Promotion Period").
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Families can enter for the chance to participate via a form on grizzlies.com, during the promotion period.
CONTEST. Parents will submit an entry in 50 words or less why their baby should be selected to crawl in the "mother of all baby races" on December 18 2016 during halftime of the Grizzlies vs. Jazz game. Based on the creativity of the entries, a minimum four babies will be selected by a panel of judges on December 2, 2016. The finalists will be notified by phone on or before December 5 , 2016. The finalist will need to make their baby available for a photo shoot at FedExForum on Wednesday, December 7. If he/she cannot be reached after a reasonable effort has been made by close of business on December 2, 2016, such person will be disqualified and an alternate winner selected based on the creativity of the entry. Limit one entry per household. Void where prohibited.

No prize transfer. No prize substitution or cash equivalent except at the sole discretion of the Memphis Grizzlies due to prize unavailability for any reason and only then for a prize of equal value.
The prize winner will be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility, liability release, and publicity release. The prize winner will be required to produce a proof of residence to the Memphis Grizzlies. The prize winner will be required to complete and return all required documents within the day of being notified that he/she is a winner. Failure to return all documents in the time and manner specified may result in disqualification. Any winner who does not comply with the Official Rules will be disqualified. Return of any prize or prize notification as "undeliverable" will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
ODDS OF WINNING: Odds of being selected as a finalist will be determined by total number of individuals selected at casting call and creativity of online entries (should the be required) as judged by the Memphis Grizzlies.
INDEMNIFICATION LANGUAGE: By entering, entrant agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the Memphis Grizzlies, the National Basketball Association and its Member Teams, NBA Properties, Inc. and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, employees and agents against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described), with respect to or arising out of either (i) entrant's participation, or (ii) the receipt or use of the prizes awarded in the promotion.

By entering, you represent to the Memphis Grizzlies that you are at least 18 years of age.
