Made in Memphis: Volume 3 to air on SportSouth
MEMPHIS, April 15, 2013. – As the 2012-13 regular season comes to a close and the Memphis Grizzlies head into the 2013 NBA Playoffs, the Grizzlies are set to debut Made In Memphis: Volume 3 on Friday, April 19 at 7 p.m. CT. The 30-minute television special encapsulates the excitement of the most successful regular season in franchise history in anticipation of the Grizzlies third straight playoff campaign. The show will air a minimum of four times on SportSouth from April 19-28.
Made In Memphis: Volume 3 is produced by Emmy Award-winning Director of Video Production Pat Stage and is the third installment of the Made In Memphis series.
The half-hour telecast will feature Grizzlies guard Tony Allen and the difference he has ‘Made In Memphis’, both on and off the court. In addition to a behind-the-scenes look at the hard work and dedication forward Darrell Arthur put into the 2012-13 season as he went through a grueling rehab process to get back to basketball activities following his 2011 season-ending Achilles injury. The telecast special will also highlight the growth of Grizzlies reserve, Quincy Pondexter, who suffered an injury set-back of his own mid-season, and also will feature the impact of Grizzlies 6th Man, Jerryd Bayless. Finally, fans will hear from Head Coach Lionel Hollins and Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner Jason Levien as they reflect on the journey this team has taken from the ownership change and mid-season roster makeover, to achieving a franchise record in wins for a season.
