Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans provide comprehensive coverage for team members, their spouses and eligible dependents. Plans include preventive care services and screenings so team members know their health risks and conditions.
Our Medical Plan offers comprehensive coverage for team members, their spouses and eligible dependents. Team members share the cost of coverage with the Memphis Grizzlies. The Medical Plan encourages team members and their families to seek preventive health care services through in-network providers by offering 100% coverage for specified preventive screenings. Most other eligible services are covered by an office visit copay when you use in-network providers.
Our Dental Plan covers preventive, basic, and major services for team members, their spouses and eligible dependents. Team members share the cost of coverage with the Memphis Grizzlies. The Dental Plan encourages team members and their families to seek preventive dental care services by offering 100% coverage for specified preventive services. Team members use in-network dentists to maximize plan benefits and lower costs.
Our Vision Plan provides coverage for team members, their spouses and eligible dependents. This benefit is free when enrolling in our medical plan. Benefits include an eye exam, frames, and lenses or contacts every 12 months. The Plan features an office visit copay and allowances toward other incurred expenses. Team members are encouraged to use network providers to maximize plan benefits at a lower cost.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The EAP helps team members and their families through many of life's challenges, offering counseling resources for issues like finding dependent care or dealing with divorce, and everything in between. This free and confidential service is available by phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Legal and financial consultations and resources are also available.
Paid Time Off
To strike a balance between personal and work life, team members are encouraged to take time for rest, relaxation, and personal needs. The Memphis Grizzlies offers the following paid time off options:
Vacation TimeUp to ten days of vacation for the first five years of employment
Up to fifteen days of vacation for six years or more of employment
Up to twenty days of vacation after 15 years of employment
Sick TimeUp to five days per calendar year
Personal TimeUp to three days per calendar year
HolidaysWe observe the following 10 holidays each calendar year:
- New Year's Day
- Martin Luther King Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day and the day after
- Christmas Day and the day after
- New Year's Eve
Retirement and Financial Planning
401(k) Savings Plan The Retirement Savings Plan provides an individual account where team members can save money for the future. Team members can contribute up to 50% of pay before taxes are withheld, subject to IRS limits. The Memphis Grizzlies makes a matching contribution of 50% for the first 6% you contribute into the plan, after one year of employment. You are 100% vested in your contribution, any rollover contribution from the prior qualified plan and 100% vested immediately in the company match. Participants also benefit from tax-deferred savings and a reduction in income taxes. The plan offers a diversified range of funds for the investment of contributions.
Life and Disability Insurance
The Memphis Grizzlies offers Company-paid Basic Life Insurance at the rate of two times your annual salary to a pre-determined maximum. We also offer options for Supplemental Life, Spouse Life, Child Life, and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance which team members may elect to purchase through payroll deductions.
Short and Long Term Disability
Our Short Term Disability (STD) Plan provides income protection during absences due to illness, injury, or pregnancy. This is a company paid benefit that provides 60% of your basic monthly earnings to a pre-determined maximum weekly amount for up to 13 weeks. Team members are automatically covered by the plan when eligible.
Our Long Term Disability (LTD) Plan provides income protection for disabilities extending beyond 180 continuous days of absence. This benefit provides 60% of your monthly earnings to a pre-determined maximum benefit amount. Team members pay the cost of the plan through contributions after taxes are calculated.
