BEF is one of the most trusted, nonprofit providers of a full suite of innovative energy, carbon and water solutions designed to help their partners meaningfully balance their environmental impact, invest in clean energy and carbon reduction, educate the next generation of clean energy leaders, and effectively and sustainably restore the health of our freshwater resources. The NBA has partnered with BEF to ensure that only renewable energy is being used for major league events in 2014 including: NBA Global Games in Mexico and London, Christmas Day Games, NBA All-Star, all games played during NBA Green Week Presented by Sprint, and the NBA Playoffs and Finals. Natural Resources Defense Council
The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is an international nonprofit environmental organization with more than 1.4 million members and online activists. Since 2004, NRDC has been the world’s leader in professional and collegiate sports greening. As a result of NRDC’s work and EPA award-winning Greening Advisor, more than 100 professional teams have adopted environmental initiatives at their stadiums or arenas, and countless league “Jewel Events” have benefited from NRDC’s guidance. NRDC uses scientific expertise to help improve the efficiency of sports operations to reduce waste, improve environmental performance, benefit public health and uncover cost savings. Learn more

Green Sports Alliance
The Green Sports Alliance is a nonprofit organization with a mission to help sports teams, venues and leagues enhance their environmental performance. Since launching nationally in March 2011 with 6 professional teams, including the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers and WNBA's Seattle Storm, and 5 venues as founding members, the Green Sports Alliance has grown to over 230 teams and venues from 16 different sports leagues. Currently, the NBA and 15 of its teams and arenas have joined the Alliance. The Alliance brings together venue operators, sports team executives and environmental scientists to exchange information about better practices and develop solutions to their environmental challenges that are cost-competitive and innovative. Arbor Day Foundation
The Arbor Day Foundation, founded in 1972, has grown to become the largest nonprofit membership organization dedicated to planting trees, with over one million members, supporters, and valued partners. As part of NBA Green Week presented by Sprint, the NBA and Sprint are encouraging fans to share what they do go ‘go green.’ For each time the #NBAGreen is used, the NBA and Sprint will plant one tree in partnership with the Arbor Day foundation.
