4. Promotion for Beno Udrih
Promoted from a reserve to a starter after Mike Bibby's thumb injury,
Beno Udrih is comfortable with his new role in Sacramento. "Playing regular minutes has helped my confidence," said Udrih to the
AP. "In San Antonio I never knew how much I would play. I won't come out here if I miss one or two shots in a row." On Sunday against the Pistons, the self-assured Udrih had the game-high 23 points and six assists, helping the Kings to a 105-95 victory. Hitting 9-of-13 shots from the field and making all five of his free throws, Udrih was only two points shy of his career-high. Sacramento coach Reggie Theus told the
Sacramento Bee, “We now have someone people have to pay attention to on pick and rolls, someone who can penetrate and make plays for other people. Roles change and situations change, and we should be getting better by getting (Udrih)."

Prior to last Friday, Rockets rookie

Unfortunately for Houston, neither of Scola's breakout performances resulted in wins, as the Rockets fell to San Antonio 90-84 and Phoenix 115-105.

Jason Kidd (1995) and
Chris Duhon (2005) for the rookie record for threes. As the sixth man, Navarro led his team in scoring with 28 points. But despite the 6'3 guard's gallant effort, Memphis lost to the Hornets, 120-118 on their home court. .

10. Bogut's mouth guard valet
Last week, NBA.com's very own Rob Peterson conducted a thorough investigation on how various players took care of their
mouth guard. The Australian native,
Andrew Bogut took the prize, treating his rubber mouth piece like it is made of gold. He has been spotted with a “mouth guard valet”, a trainer who holds a plastic container open so Bogut can place his precious protector in a case as soon as he exits the game. In Peterson's Court Reporters blog, he wrote, "The only thing missing from the scene was a clean white towel draped over the gentleman's arm and maybe a glass of a nice Australian Shiraz, a Thorn-Clarke, 2006."
