LONDON, August 7, 2012 – The inaugural NBA House, a free family interactive basketball experience and hospitality venue, officially opened its doors over the weekend in London.

Covering over 500 square meters at Jubilee Hall in Covent Garden, NBA House features a variety of basketball-themed activities showcasing the excitement of the NBA and the game of basketball. It includes a half-court where fans can shoot and compete in a series of basketball skills competitions including the Foot Locker 3-Point Contest.

With over 15,000 visitors to date, fans have the opportunity to enjoy NBA House daily until August 12.

Interactive elements for fans include the "Cisco Slam Cam Video" and HP Trophy Lift where fans can share their moment at NBA House with their friends on Facebook. NBA House also features an interactive twitter wall that highlights live tweets sent to #nba and #nbahouse.

The Sony PS Vita lounge offers fans the chance to test their gaming skills on the new PS Vita. American Express cardmembers receive priority access through the American Express 'Fast Track'.

Attending the event, eight-time NBA All-Star Dikembe Mutombo said: "It is wonderful to see so many people visiting NBA House. There is a fantastic atmosphere and I have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the activities and meeting fans in a true celebration of the NBA."

Open daily from 11am - 6pm, NBA House will see appearances from NBA Legends Bruce Bowen, Robert Horry, Dikembe Mutombo and Sam Perkins as well as dance performances by the Celtics Dancers and entertainment from NBA mascots Benny the Bull, from the Chicago Bulls, and Super Mascot Rocky from the Denver Nuggets.
