Day 3 - The day began with a Life Skills seminar at the Darussafaka facility led by the Spurs Bruce Bowen. The seminar focused on the qualities of becoming a leader. Bowen explained the importance of leadership and how it is a vital attribute both in sports and how it can be carried through life in general.

The campers then took to the gym floor for a series of basketball drills conducted by the NBA players and coaches. Today’s focus was on passing and offensive rebounding. The teams then broke off to play games under the watchful eye of the NBA players and coaches.

In the afternoon, under the warm Turkish sun, the NBA players assembled at the Findikzade Education Park in the center of Istanbul to dedicate a newly refurbished basketball court. The NBA Cares Legacy Project - the highlight of Basketball without Borders social responsibility efforts - was in partnership with Lenovo and the Educational Volunteers Foundation of Turkey (TEGV). After speeches including words from Mehmet Okur , the court was officially unveiled with a ribbon cutting ceremony. NBA players David Lee, Bruce Bowen and Mickael Pietrus joined Okur in a basketball clinic for the kids present.

Later, Randy Foyle joined Hedo Turkoglu at the Zeyrek Learning Center to dedicate a new learning center and computer room complete with a donation of 10 new Lenovo computers. Since 2001, NBA Cares has dedicated 400 places to live, learn or play around the world.
