Despite a full day of training and an afternoon of participation in skills stations yesterday, 90 campers still managed to get up at the crack of dawn this morning for the long-awaited tour to the Great Wall. This was the first time for many kids to come to Beijing, and for that reason the first time they saw one of the "7 wonders of the world", right at their doorsteps.

90 campers, the 18 assistant coaches, Donnie, Frank and BJ Armstrong all left at 6:30am and made their way to the Badaling stretch of the wall. It was a cool morning with light breezes blowing and despite the huge group moving at snail pace, the crew managed to make it up to the third fortress before heading back to the camp site for lunch and games in the afternoon.

Campers had been paired up into teams according to their city's average score in yesterday's skills stations tourney. Utah Jazz, comprising of campers from Nanjing and Shijiazhuang definitely stole the limelight with some of the most competitive players on their team ? beating both the Sonics and Suns by 88-18 and 88-21.

These kids were extremely competitive and gave their best at each game, cheering on each other and not letting any minor injury or bumps and bruises stop them from winning!
