The longest homestand of their season might be exactly what the Golden State Warriors need.

After playing 10 of their last 13 on the road - and winning just once away from home in that stretch - they'll host the Toronto Raptors on Monday night in the first of seven straight at home. It's a series Golden State has dominated lately with six wins in seven meetings and seven consecutive victories in Oakland.

The Warriors (33-27) finished their five-game trip with four consecutive losses, and their only win in 10 road games over the past month was a one-point victory at Minnesota.

At home, on the other hand, Golden State has won six of its last seven, including victories over the Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma City and San Antonio. The Warriors are 18-7 in Oakland, where they'll play 15 of their next 19.

They have particularly struggled defensively away from home, allowing 104.4 points per game compared to 97.5 on their home floor.

Coach Mark Jackson's squad still owns one of the league's 10 best scoring offenses, with some spectacular efforts from Stephen Curry leading the way lately, but it hasn't been able to overcome poor defense during the recent road-heavy schedule.

Golden State is yielding 109.1 points per game on 47.1 percent shooting - 39.2 percent from 3-point range - over its last 13 contests. Opponents averaged 99.4 points as the team started the season 30-17.

Curry, who has scored at least 25 in four straight - including a 54-point performance at New York on Wednesday - is averaging 27.6 points on 54.4 percent shooting in five career games against the Raptors, all victories. The Warriors are looking to clean up some recent sloppiness on offense, though, with 18 or more turnovers in four of their last five.

"Our problem was not offensively, our problem was defensively," Jackson said after Saturday's 104-97 loss at Philadelphia, in which Curry and Klay Thompson combined for 59 points. "Our offense is not going to win ballgames. Defensively is how we got it done and taking care of the basketball, and those two things are hurting us right now."

Toronto (23-37) won seven of its first 10 after acquiring Rudy Gay, but has since lost four in a row. Gay, averaging 20.5 points with the Raptors, was a late scratch because of back spasms before a 122-114 overtime loss at Milwaukee on Saturday.

Kyle Lowry had a triple-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists as seven Toronto players scored in double figures. The Raptors scored more than 92 points for the first time during their skid, but they let the Bucks shoot 50.0 percent.

"I loved our fight with Rudy being out," coach Dwane Casey said. "Our guys are pulling together, pulling for each other."

The Warriors won 114-102 at Toronto on Jan. 28. David Lee had 21 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists as Golden State hit 53.5 percent from the field.

The Raptors have yielded an average of 119.1 points during their seven straight losses in Oakland, including a 138-100 drubbing in their most recent visit March 25, 2011.

Warriors top Raptors 125-118 to snap 4-game skid

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) Stephen Curry dribbled down court and saw Andrew Bogut sprinting to his left. He tossed a lob well above the rim, and Bogut leaped up high for a powerful two-handed dunk that had the rest of the Golden State Warriors running off the bench to offer high-fives and hugs in celebration.

The alley-oop in the second quarter of Golden State's 125-118 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Monday night will either be a turning point or just another brief burst of brilliance in an injury-saddled season for the Australian center. At the very least, it gave the home fans reason to believe Bogut could be a factor in the playoff push.

"There are going to be plays like that where, individually for him, his mind is going to be, `I'm close to being back,"' Warriors coach Mark Jackson said. "For our guys, it was a `wow' moment. Because we haven't seen it. Because we're expecting it. We know who he is. We know what he's capable of doing. For him to make a play like that, it was refreshing."

David Lee had 29 points and 11 rebounds to back Bogut's eye-opening return and snap Golden State's four-game losing streak. Curry added 26 points and tied a season high with 12 assists, and Klay Thompson scored 10 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter to help the Warriors pull away with a 9-0 run.

After missing the last six games because of a bad back, Bogut played a season-high 30 minutes. He finished with four points, eight rebounds, one block and one assist.

"I felt all right," said Bogut, who was 2 for 4 shooting. "It's just good to get back out there after a frustrating year for me."

Andrea Bargnani scored 26 points and tied a career high with five 3-pointers, and Amir Johnson added 23 points and 15 rebounds in Toronto's fifth straight loss. Kyle Lowry finished with 11 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists, and Rudy Gay scored 26 points after missing the Raptors' loss at Milwaukee on Saturday night with back spasms.

Golden State's streaky shooting still proved to be too much. The Warriors outshot the Raptors 57 to 44 percent and made 23 of 28 free throws, closing out the game in the final minute from the line.

"The offense wasn't the problem," Bargnani said. "We had what we wanted. On defense we have to do a better job, especially against these kinds of teams. We tried to do what we can, but it wasn't good enough."

After a frustrating 1-4 road trip, Golden State began a stretch of seven straight and 16 of its last 22 at home. The Warriors improved to 19-7 this season at Oracle Arena, where the ever-loyal fan base has sold out 17 straight games and is begging for a playoff berth.

While the defensive deficiencies remain, Golden State's offensive outpouring overwhelmed the Raptors in the end.

Thompson hit two 3-pointers and a mid-range jumper to highlight a 10-2 run to start the fourth quarter, giving the Warriors a 93-92 lead. Both teams hit the century mark with more than six minutes to play, and that's when Golden State really hit its stride.

Harrison Barnes made a 3-pointer, Thompson added a pair of free throws and Curry swished a pull-up jumper during a 9-0 spurt to put the Warriors ahead 109-100 with 3:04 remaining. Toronto got within four points three different times before Golden State sealed the game with free throws.

"I'm not very happy with this win, other than the fact that we won," Lee said.

The biggest positive for the Warriors was the return of Bogut, who didn't travel with the team during its East Coast road trip. He also missed 42 games earlier this season recovering from left ankle surgery and often looked hampered when he did play.

The latest return of Golden State's franchise center offered more promise than patience.

In the second quarter alone, Bogut had three of his best plays all season: He slipped through a pick-and-roll, caught a pass from Curry and tucked the ball between two defenders to Lee for a baseline dunk. He showed some lift when he took a pass from Curry for a two-handed slam, and he finished that alley-oop from Curry - "a thunderous dunk," as Lee called it - that got everybody's attention and put the Warriors ahead 62-50 just before the half.

"I think guys can kind of be more confident with me back there," Bogut said.

Bogut still often laid on the baseline instead of sitting on the bench when he was taken out. He also periodically performed stretches to stay loose.

Toronto's ailing big man had no problems getting into a groove.

After missing Toronto's morning practice with a stomach illness, Bargnani scored 12 points in the first quarter to help the Raptors go ahead by five. He also helped Toronto score 12 straight between the second and third quarters to tie the game, then took a 90-83 lead heading in the fourth, when the Warriors ran away.

"At the beginning of the fourth is when the game changed," Raptors coach Dwane Casey said. "We went back to how we played in the first half: soft defensively."

NOTES: The Raptors are 0-9 when Bargnani scores 20 or more. ... Former Warriors G Sarunas Marciulionis, drafted in the sixth round by Golden State in 1987, was in attendance as part of European Community Night.

THE FACTS: David Lee scored 29 points and added 11 rebounds as the Golden State Warriors ended a four-game losing streak with a 125-118 victory against the Toronto Raptors on Monday.

Stephen Curry, in his first game at home since putting up 54 at Madison Square Garden last week, had 26 points and 12 assists to help the Warriors (34-27) kick off their season-ending run of 16 home games in the final 22 contests with a critical win. With Utah losing to Milwaukee, Golden State moved 1 1/2 games clear of eighth place in the Western Conference.

Andrea Bargnani and Rudy Gay led the Raptors (23-38) with 26 points each, but combined for only six in the fourth quarter, when Toronto's shooting percentage cratered to 27.6 percent and a seven-point lead after three quarters melted away.

Klay Thompson had 10 of his 22 points in the final period, when the Warriors outscored the Raptors 42-28. Golden State finished with a season high in shooting percentage (57.3 percent) and 33 assists.

QUOTABLE: "There was a sense of desperation, and there needed to be, because if we lose this game tonight, it's a big hit to us. We should have won that Philly game [a 104-97 loss on Saturday where the Warriors blew an 11-point third-quarter lead]. We found a way to win this one."

THE STAT: The game continued a strange trend for Bargnani and the Raptors; Toronto is now 0-10 this season in games where the former No. 1 overall pick scores 19 or more points. Of course, Bargnani's non-existent defense on his opposite number might have something to do with it. Lee struggled during the Warriors' recent 1-4 road trip, but posted his fifth 25-point, 10-rebound game of the season on Monday, going 12-for-21 from the floor while doing it.

TURNING POINT: As the Raptors gave Warriors rookie Harrison Barnes acres of space as an invitation to shoot, Barnes went ahead and did so at the 5:40 mark, draining a 3-pointer that put the Warriors ahead for good at 103-100.

GOOD MOVE: It may have been forced on him by Thompson's foul trouble, but Warriors coach Mark Jackson's faith in Barnes -- who came into Monday shooting 33.3 percent from the floor after the All-Star break -- paid off in the fourth quarter. In addition to the go-ahead 3-pointer, Barnes delivered the coup de grace with 1:07 left, driving past Gay for a layup and three-point play. The Warriors led 114-105, and Toronto couldn't get closer than four points during a seemingly endless final minute distended by seven Raptors fouls.

QUOTABLE II: "They overplayed [Jarrett Jack] and Steph, and I told Harrison that I want him to look for Steph, but I want to make sure his guy defends him. I wanted him to attack if he felt like they fell asleep."

FANTASY SPOTLIGHT: Warriors center Andrew Bogut came back after missing six games with back spasms and collected eight rebounds with four points.

HOT: Sure, plenty of it was down the stretch in the fourth quarter when the Warriors were defending 3-pointers and happy to give up putbacks, but reserve Toronto big man Amir Johnson finished 10-for-10 from the floor en route to a 23-point, 15-rebound night.

NOT: Bargnani was working on one of his best games of the season, with 26 points through three quarters. Then he promptly went ice cold in the fourth quarter, missing all five shot attempts.

NOTABLE: Gay returned from a one-game absence due to back spasms, but his point total was offset to some extent by six turnovers. . . . Bargnani played despite feeling ill at the Raptors' shootaround and delivered his first 20-point game since Dec. 7 at Utah. He also tied his career-high with five made 3-pointers. . . . Kyle Lowry had his second consecutive game with at least 10 rebounds and nearly had another triple-double, falling shy by one assist.
