The Milwaukee Bucks have won three in a row, have Brandon Jennings back and are two games into an eight-game stretch against opponents with sub-.500 records.

There's nothing easy about facing the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center these days, though.

The Clippers look to win a ninth straight home game for the first time since moving to Los Angeles in 1984 as the Bucks begin a three-game road trip Monday night.

It took Los Angeles (18-28) seven weeks to get going, but it's done exactly that behind Blake Griffin's emergence as one of the league's most dynamic players.

The Clippers are 13-7 since a 5-21 start, and much of that turnaround has coincided with making Staples Center a legitimate home-court advantage. Saturday's 103-88 victory over Charlotte - highlighted by 24 points and 10 rebounds from Griffin - was Los Angeles' eighth in a row at home, tying the 1992-93 team for the longest streak since the team moved from San Diego.

Griffin had 19 points in the first half. He's averaged 21.0 in the opening 24 minutes of the Clippers' last four home games, and hasn't seemed to be affected by playing nearly 39 minutes per contest in January.

"I think I'm kind of used to it now," said Griffin, who has 32 double-doubles in 33 games. "But at the same time, I've got to do a good a good job of taking care of my body and getting rest and making sure I'm ready to go night in and night out through this whole process."

He has to shoulder even more of the offensive load with Eric Gordon out with a wrist injury, but Randy Foye has relieved some of the pressure. Foye has averaged 18.7 points in three starts after rarely contributing in the first half of the season.

"I put a lot of pressure on myself to make plays and try to help us, especially now," Foye said. "With Eric out, I'm that guy they go to on the perimeter - me and Baron (Davis) kind of split it."

While Gordon might be out until the All-Star break, the Bucks (19-26) got their own star guard back Saturday for the first time since breaking his foot Dec. 18. Jennings missed all three shots and only chipped in two free throws in 11 minutes off the bench, but was just glad to be back in a 91-81 win over New Jersey.

"I was all right," Jennings said. "I knew I wasn't going to play as much, when I did I was just trying to get back in the flow, trying to get my rhythm back. I'm just trying to get better and better in each game."

Milwaukee is within one-half game of Charlotte for the Eastern Conference's No. 8 spot as it continues a light stretch of the schedule without John Salmons. The team's second-leading scorer behind Jennings, Salmons has missed the last seven games with a hip injury, but Carlos Delfino has stepped up.

Delfino, who himself missed 32 games with concussion-like symptoms, has averaged 17.0 points in the last three games. He had 21 Saturday starting in place of Chris Douglas-Roberts, out due to personal reasons.

"It's huge for us," Andrew Bogut said of Delfino's contributions. "He can create off the dribble for us, we can put in pick and rolls, he has a high basketball IQ and he rebounds for us as well. We missed him as much as anybody."

The Bucks need all the help they can get Monday. They've lost nine of 10 on the road against the Clippers.

Clippers beat Bucks 105-98

LOS ANGELES (AP) The only statistic Blake Griffin was interested in didn't appear on the boxscore.

He had 32 points and 11 rebounds for his 39th double-double, and the Los Angeles Clippers withstood a fourth-quarter challenge to beat the Milwaukee Bucks 105-98 Monday night for their ninth straight home win.

"That's the best stat," Griffin said. "It's huge for us to protect our home court."

The Clippers tied the third-longest consecutive home victory streak in franchise history set when the team was known as the Buffalo Braves and won nine in a row from Oct. 22-Nov. 23, 1974.

They got another bit of good news, too.

Eric Gordon, the Clippers' leading scorer who was expected to be out for a month because of a right wrist injury, is now day-to-day and could join the team for its upcoming trip, a team spokesperson said after the game.

Randy Foye added 20 points in his fourth consecutive start in place of Gordon, while Baron Davis added 18 and DeAndre Jordan had 16. The Clippers were 25 of 27 from the free throw line in a game that featured 18 lead changes.

Corey Maggette scored 25 points against his former team as the Bucks' three-game winning streak ended. Ersan Ilyasova added 15 and Andrew Bogut 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Milwaukee coach Scott Skiles said Bogut's right knee was bothering him after he got hit awkwardly in a second-half collision with Foye.

"It was tough with Blake Griffin in the post. He's a monster, as well as DeAndre Jordan," Maggette said. "They have two key guys that you really can't play off of. You can't get too much help from another player because they have so many different moves."

Griffin shot 13 of 20 from the floor, made all six of his free throws and had six assists, although he was on the bench for part of his teammates' game-winning rally.

The Clippers ran off 11 straight points to turn a one-point deficit into a 94-84 lead with 5:17 remaining. Five different players scored, although none of them was Griffin.

Maggette scored the next six points for the Bucks before Carlos Delfino added a basket, drawing them to 96-92. Foye missed, but Davis scrambled to collect the rebound, then dribbled several seconds off the clock before kicking out to Foye, whose 3-pointer kept the Clippers ahead 99-92 with 42 seconds left.

"I saw that shot was going to come off (the rim)," Davis said. "Nobody was blocking me out. I had to use all my energy for that one. I got in the lane, saw Randy and knew he wasn't going to miss it again."

Griffin added, "I've never seen him jump that high in my life. It sealed the game for us and it kind of put them in panic mode."

Delfino turned the ball over when he stepped out of bounds, and the Bucks were forced to foul over the final seconds.

"Our defense was pretty good, but they had a couple of extra possessions down the stretch because of offensive rebounds," Milwaukee's Keyon Dooling said. "Baron made a great play to drive and then kick it out to Randy Foye for the three, and that was kind of the backbreaker."

The Bucks outscored the Clippers 16-8 in the third to take their largest lead, 71-64. Maggette, Ilyasova and Bogut had four points each in the spurt.

The Clippers by closing with a 13-2 run, including six by Ryan Gomes, led 77-73 going into the fourth. Jordan kept his cool when Jon Brockman grabbed the front of his jersey and nearly dragged him to the court after Jordan's alley-oop dunk.

After shooting 26 percent in the first quarter, the Bucks found their offfense in the second. Brandon Jennings, who finished with 12 points, hit back-to-back 3-pointers to launch a 16-6 run that gave Milwaukee its first lead of the game. From there, the teams traded leads until Griffin's jumper put the Clippers ahead 49-47 at the break.

The Clippers rolled through an easy opening quarter when they shot 58 percent and led by 12 points. The highlight of Griffin's array of dunks was a fast-break one-handed windmill he slammed down to cap his own run of six straight points.

"I knew I had to do something or I'd never hear the end of it," he said.

Notes: Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro was asked if the team would consider unloading injured C Chris Kaman before the Feb. 24 trade deadline. He said any option that would help improve the team in the standings has to be considered. ... The Clippers have won 14 of 20 games against Milwaukee since 2001. ... Bucks G John Salmons missed his eighth straight game because of a right hip strain. ... The Clippers will go for a 10th straight home win on Wednesday against the Central Division-leading Chicago Bulls before heading out on a 10-game road trip.

THE FACTS: The Los Angeles Clippers aren't known for their winning streaks but they set a record Monday night in a 105-98 victory against the Milwaukee Bucks at Staples Center, their ninth consecutive win at home, the most since moving to L.A. in 1984.

QUOTABLE: "Every game presents different problems for us. We're just trying to grow as a team."

THE STAT: Four players scored at least 16 points for the Clippers, led by rookie forward Blake Griffin, who had 32 points, 11 rebounds and six assists while making another case for All-Star Game consideration.

TURNING POINT: The Bucks took an 84-83 on a driving layup by Brandon Jennings with 7:47 remaining in the game, but Clippers reserve forward Ike Diogu scored his sixth consecutive point to spark an 11-0 run and Milwaukee couldn't cut the deficit back to one possession.

HOT: Clippers center DeAndre Jordan scored a season-high 16 points on 7-for-8 shooting. The third-year player and first-year starter contributed seven rebounds, five blocked shots and a handful of thunderous dunks that had the crowd on the edge of their seats.

NOT: After scoring a team-high 21 points Saturday night against the New Jersey Nets in his first start of the season, Milwaukee guard Carlos Delfino came back to earth against the Clippers, scoring four points on 2-for-9 shooting and committing three turnovers.

FANTASY SPOTLIGHT: Griffin went over 30 points for the eighth time this season, shooting 13-for-20 from the field. He averaged 26 points and 13.4 rebounds for the month of January, the fourth straight month he has improved his scoring average. He wasn't left out of the dunk-fest either, slamming home a lob pass from Randy Foye early on and later throwing down a windmill on a breakaway.

GOOD MOVE: The Bucks began intentionally fouling Jordan with about 3 1/2 minutes remaining. Jordan, a 45.8 percent free throw shooter coming in, missed two of his first four attempts and Del Negro didn't take any more chances, subbing in Diogu. A minute later, Diogu took a charge from Delfino with 1:27 remaining and the Clippers holding a six-point lead.

BAD MOVE: His choices were pretty limited but Skiles probably had a better chance with Luc Mbah a Moute guarding Griffin than Ersan Ilyasova or Andrew Bogut. Mbah a Moute at least had the foot speed to keep Griffin from driving to the basket, although he gave up a couple inches in height.

ROOKIE WATCH: Pretty disappointing performance for the other two rookies on the Clippers. Al-Farouq Aminu was 0-for-4 from the field with two points and Eric Bledsoe was 0-for-2 with two points.

NOTABLE: The Clippers came in as the worst-shooting free-throw team in the NBA, but shot 25-for-27 against the Bucks, the first time this season they've shot over 90 percent.
