MIAMI(AP) Dwyane Wade scored 25 points, Michael Beasley scored nine of his 19 in the fourth quarter, and the Miami Heat beat the Memphis Grizzlies 102-85 Tuesday night for their first preseason win in nearly two years.

Wade also had six assists and five rebounds for the Heat, who improved to 1-4 in this preseason. Udonis Haslem had 14 points and 13 rebounds, while Shawn Marion added 12 points, eight rebounds and five assists for Miami, which had dropped 12 straight exhibitions since beating Orlando on Oct. 24, 2006.

Mario Chalmers had nine assists for the Heat, who shot 53 percent and had assists on 30 of their 40 field goals.

O.J. Mayo scored 28 points for Memphis on 12-for-19 shooting, with five rebounds and five assists. Darko Milicic scored 12 for the Grizzlies (2-5).

Rudy Gay, Memphis' leading scorer last season and so far this preseason, missed the game with a staph infection. He was with the team and will be a game-time decision Wednesday for the Grizzlies' preseason finale at the Orlando Magic.

Wade and Beasley scored every Heat point in a 13-2 fourth-quarter run that gave Miami an 88-76 lead with 6:12 remaining.

Beasley started the burst with jumpers on two straight possessions, then capped it with another jumper. The final margin of 17 points was Miami's largest lead yet this preseason.

The Heat started Beasley and Marion at forward, and the 6-foot-7 Haslem at center, aiming to see how the undersized trio worked together.

The experiment didn't last long.

Beasley had two fouls by the time the game was four minutes old, as Memphis - with 7-foot-1 Marc Gasol and the 7-foot Milicic on the front line - exploited the height differential and pounded the ball inside.

Still, Miami led 50-40 at halftime, largely for two reasons: Wade had 12 points by the break, and Memphis did almost nothing from the outside. Of the Grizzlies' 16 first-half field goals, 12 came on either layups or dunks, and only two of Memphis' four baskets from the perimeter in the half came from outside of 15 feet.

Memphis changed its tact in the third. The Grizzlies hit five long jumpers in the first six minutes after halftime, including 3-pointers from Quinton Ross, Mayo and Mike Conley within a 90-second span, and wound up trimming Miami's lead to 69-68 entering the fourth.

Memphis led briefly early in the fourth, before Beasley and Wade took over.

Notes: Former Heat forward Antoine Walker did not play for Memphis. ... By the midpoint of the opening quarter, Gasol had five rebounds, one more than Miami's total. He finished with 10 rebounds. ... Miami has two preseason games remaining, facing New Orleans in Mobile, Ala. on Thursday, then visiting San Antonio on Friday. Guard Shaun Livingston, who hasn't played since suffering a major knee injury nearly two seasons ago, is expected to appear in one of the remaining exhibitions.
