Coming off the best game of his brief NBA career, Yi Jianlian now will try to improve the Milwaukee Bucks' dismal road record.

Yi looks to help the Bucks snap a six-game road losing streak when they visit the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night at the Pepsi Center.

In Saturday's 103-99 win over Charlotte, Yi was 14-of-17 from the field while compiling a career-high 29 points and 10 rebounds for his first double-double. He had averaged 10.3 points coming in and gave Milwaukee (11-15) a glimpse of what they were hoping for when they drafted the 6-foot-11 Chinese forward sixth overall.

"Lately, I've found that my offensive ability and the shots that I make are getting more and more each game," Yi said through an interpreter. "Through all my training, I've been able to help bring together my offensive abilities and my defense, and the feeling in my hands has gotten a lot better when I'm shooting."

Michael Redd added 27 points while Mo Williams had 22 and nine assists in the game, but Bucks coach Larry Krystkowiak was disappointed his players didn't get the ball to Yi more.

"I thought he was open late in the game in the post," Krystkowiak said. "I think that's where we take it to the next level maybe when we start riding the hot hand a little bit."

Yi is averaging just 9.2 points on the road, where the Bucks have dropped 12 of 14 this season. Milwaukee also has lost eight of nine to the Nuggets since the 2002-03 season, although their one win came in Denver by a 110-89 score in February 2006.

That was before the Nuggets (16-11) traded for Allen Iverson. He averages 30.3 points against Milwaukee for his career, and had scored 30 or more points in four consecutive games before a poor shooting performance Sunday at Sacramento.

Denver won 106-105 on a last-second shot by Linas Kleiza despite playing a second straight game without Kenyon Martin, sidelined by a strained hamstring.

"It's good for our team to win this type of game,'' Nuggets coach George Karl said. "We don't play very well, then steal one on the road while we are short-handed, shows a lot of good things to me."

Iverson was just 6-of-21 from the field and had 21 points, but Carmelo Anthony scored 30 and added 12 rebounds en route to being named Western Conference player of the week. Anthony averaged 33.7 points and 13.3 rebounds in his last three games.

Kleiza had 12 points and nine rebounds and Eduardo Najera had a season-high 11 rebounds.

Marcus Camby also came back from a bruised back to score 19 points and grab 14 rebounds. He's second in the NBA with 14.3 rebounds per game.

The Nuggets have won three of four at home, where they are 11-4 this season.
