The Milwaukee Bucks suffered a letdown against one of the NBA's worst defensive teams in their last game. They hope to redeem themselves in a matchup with the Atlanta Hawks.

After having their season-high five-game winning streak snapped, the Bucks look to bounce back against the Hawks on Wednesday night at Philips Arena.

Milwaukee (7-5) had been one of the league's hottest teams before a 114-99 loss to Philadelphia on Tuesday night. It was the most points allowed by the Bucks this season, as they struggled against a club averaging just 91.8 points per game coming in.

"We have been told for the better part of a week how great we are now," Bucks coach Larry Krystkowiak said. "There are no easy games. There are no pushovers in this league."

Milwaukee, which has allowed an average of 99.3 points, is beginning a stretch of two straight road games against two of the worst offensive teams in the NBA. After facing Atlanta (5-8), which averages 95.6 points a contest, the Bucks will play Friday versus the New York Knicks, who are slightly better at 95.8 points per game.

The Bucks, allowed the Sixers to shoot 52.3 percent en route to their best game on offense this season. Milwaukee struggled from long range, going just 4-of-21 from beyond the arc.

Michael Redd missed all three of his 3-point attempts and finished with 17 points, nearly four below his season average. The veteran guard, who averaged 27.8 points during Milwaukee's winning streak, had 21 in a 105-96 win over Atlanta on Nov. 17 in the teams' first meeting of the season.

The Bucks' bench was weakened Tuesday, with forward Bobby Simmons missing the game for personal reasons. The team said Simmons' absence wasn't serious, but didn't elaborate and his status for this game is uncertain.Simmons is averaging 7.2 points and 2.6 rebounds.

The Hawks also are coming off their lowest-scoring game of the season, a 90-78 loss to Chicago on Tuesday night in which they shot just 39.7 percent fro the floor. Atlanta was outrebounded 60-37 and held below 84 points for the fifth time this season.

"We weren't blocking out," Hawks rookie center Al Horford said. "That's the thing you can blame it on. You have to be able to hit bodies."

Joe Johnson, averaging a team-high 22.6 points for Atlanta, had 21 against the Bulls. He has struggled in recent matchups with the Bucks, however, averaging 15.5 points against them.

Johnson had 14 points against Milwaukee in the teams' last matchup, but teammate Josh Smith was the star with a career-high 38.

Smith had 12 points 2-of-14 shooting against Chicago, but blocked a season high six shots to increase his league-leading average to 3.6.

Atlanta is 3-3 at home this season, but has lost three of its last four there to the Bucks.
