The Philadelphia 76ers have struggled to get their offense going during their three-game losing skid. Without star Allen Iverson, those struggles are a whole lot worse.

After sitting out Tuesday's game following oral surgery, Iverson's status remains uncertain for Wednesday's matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks at the Bradley Center.

Iverson leads the NBA with 43.3 minutes per game and ranks third in scoring with 28.7 points. He has been even better against the Bucks (3-8), averaging 30.5 points in 31 career games, his third-best mark against any opponent.

The point guard missed his first game of the season Tuesday after undergoing surgery to remove an abscessed wisdom tooth earlier in the day. Willie Green scored a season-high 24 points in Iverson's place, but Philadelphia lost 97-87 to the Detroit Pistons.

``Willie was good,'' 76ers coach Maurice Cheeks said. ``Driving the basketball was one of the things we stressed and he was certainly the guy that did it.''

Andre Iguodala and Kyle Korver each added 13 points, but the 76ers (4-6) shot a season-low 39.5 percent (30 of 76) from the field en route to their sixth loss in seven games after starting the season 3-0.

The 76ers are trying to avoid their season-high fourth straight loss and may again be without former All-Star Chris Webber (lower back stiffness and soreness) and Steven Hunter (right knee sprain).

Both have missed back-to-back games and are listed as day-to-day.

``We've got to use our energy more,'' Green said. ``In order for us to win without Allen and Chris, we need to use our energy and get out and run more.''

Philadelphia may be able to halt its losing streak against a team entrenched in an even bigger slide. Milwaukee has dropped seven of its last eight games, including a 93-88 defeat to the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday to complete a home-and-home series.

The Bucks led 88-79 with 3:06 remaining, but allowed the Pacers to scored the final 14 points.

``We were not able to score and weren't getting some close calls,'' said Bucks coach Terry Stotts, whose club is hoping to avoid losing four in a row for the second time this season. ``We played well in the first 40 minutes, but we weren't able to close them out.''

The Bucks did perform well from the free-throw line, going 14-for-14 in the defeat. Michael Redd has scored 21 points in each of the last two games, well below his 29.5 season average.

Milwaukee's second-leading scorer, Mo Williams, led the team with 22 points Tuesday. Andrew Bogut added 14 and Dan Gadzuric had a double-double off the bench.

The Bucks won three of four matchups between these teams last season, but the 76ers have taken three of the last four meetings in Milwaukee.
