LA Clippers at Denver 10:30 pm EDT Western Conference First Round Clippers lead, 2-0

DENVER (Ticker) -- Absolutely nothing has gone right in the playoffs for the Denver Nuggets. Perhaps a return to the rarified air of their home court will help solve their problems.

The Nuggets attempt to start digging themselves out of a two-game hole on Thursday when they host the sixth-seeded Los Angeles Clippers in Game Three of the best-of-seven first-round series.

Despite cruising to the Northwest Division title, Denver has dropped each of the series' first two games.

After losing an 89-87 decision in Game One, the Nuggets looked awful in a 98-87 loss on Monday. Star forward Carmelo Anthony managed just 15 points on 5-of-15 shooting as Denver shot just 34 percent (27-of-79) from the floor.

Aside from improving their poor shooting, the Nuggets also will have to claw back in this series without forward Kenyon Martin, who has been suspended for at least the next two games for conduct detrimental to the team.

The Clippers, on the other hand, appear primed to win their first postseason series since the 1975-76 campaign.

Cuttino Mobley scored 21 points and Elton Brand chipped in 19 and 11 rebounds for Los Angeles, which built a 19-point lead after one quarter and cruised thereafter in Monday's win.
