Grizzlies inching closer to playoff berth
Golden State (30-42) at Memphis (42-32) 8:00 pm EDT
MEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- The Memphis Grizzlies hope to
continue their playoff push Tuesday when they face the
struggling Golden State Warriors.
Memphis sits in sixth place in the Western Conference, one game
behind the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Grizzlies are coming off Sunday's 98-87 win over Atlanta in
which the team went on a 40-6 run to take control midway through
the game.
Chucky Atkins scored 19 points and Mike Miller added 18 for
Memphis, which snapped a three-game losing streak.
Golden State has lost four straight games - one shy of its
season high - after dropping a 106-104 overtime decision to
Minnesota on Sunday. Jason Richardson had 33 points and Derek
Fisher added 22 for the Warriors.
Memphis has won three straight meetings vs. Golden State and six
of the last seven matchups between the teams.
