Denver (41-33) at LA Clippers (42-30) 10:30 pm EDT

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The Denver Nuggets will be looking to bounce back from a resounding loss when they visit the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday.

The Nuggets, who lead the Northwest Division by 5 1/2 games over Utah (35-38), were pummeled at Dallas on Sunday, 103-79. Carmelo Anthony scored 25 points while Andre Miller and Ruben Patterson added 14 points apiece in the defeat.

Despite the loss, Denver is poised to win its first division title since 1987-88, which would make it the third seed in the Western Conference.

Los Angeles owns a one-game lead over Memphis (42-32) for the fifth seed in the Western Conference. If the Clippers dropped to sixth place, they would face Denver in the first round rather than a matchup against Dallas or San Antonio if they remained at the five slot.

Los Angeles is coming off a 106-96 loss at Sacramento on Sunday, where it hasn't won since 1997. Chris Kaman and Sam Cassell each scored 20 points with Kaman adding 10 rebounds in the defeat.

The Clippers have won eight of the last 10 home meetings with the Nuggets.
