Boston (30-43) at Toronto (26-47) 7:00 pm EDT

TORONTO (Ticker) -- The Boston Celtics hope to maintain their slim postseason aspirations when they visit the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday.

Boston trails Philadelphia (34-38) by 4 1/2 games for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

A 100-94 loss at Chicago on Saturday was Boston's eighth in its last 12 games. Wally Szczerbiak was 12-of-18 from the floor en route to a 28-point performance.

All-Star Paul Pierce had one of his worst games of the season as he was held to 18 points on a dismal 4-of-18 shooting effort.

Toronto has lost four in a row following its 120-113 home loss to New Orleans on Sunday. Morris Peterson had 27 points and rookie Charlie Villanueva collected 25 points and a season-high 18 rebounds.

Raptors star Chris Bosh missed his third straight game because of sprained right thumb that might keep him sidelined for the rest of the season.

The Celtics have won two of their three matchups against the Raptors this season.
