Atlanta (22-50) at New Jersey (44-28) 7:30 pm EDT

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) -- The New Jersey Nets can claim another Atlantic Division crown if they can extend their winning streak Tuesday against the Atlanta Hawks.

The Nets would win their fourth division title in five seasons if they can extend their winning streak to 13 games, one shy of the franchise record they set just two seasons ago.

New Jersey is coming off a 90-78 triumph over Miami (48-25), which it trails by 3 1/2 games for the second seed in the Eastern Conference standings.

Vince Carter , who is averaging 28.4 points during the streak, continued his strong play with 43 points, including a season-high six 3-pointers. Richard Jefferson added 16 points and seven rebounds for the Nets, who committed just nine turnovers.

The Hawks lost for the seventh time in eight games Sunday in a 98-87 defeat at Memphis. Josh Smith scored 26 points and Al Harrington collected 16 points and 10 rebounds for Atlanta, which did not have another player score in double figures.

New Jersey has won eight consecutive home games against Atlanta and two of the three meetings overall this season, although the Hawks had a fourth-quarter lead in all three contests.
