Cleveland (40-29) at Houston (30-39) 4:00 pm EST
HOUSTON (Ticker) -- LeBron James hopes to achieve something he
has never done while also moving closer to another goal that has
escaped him when he leads the Cleveland Cavaliers against the Houston
Rockets on Sunday.
In his sensational three-year career, James has led the
Cavaliers to a victory over every team in the league - except
the Rockets. He is averaging only 16.4 points on 38 percent
shooting in five career games against Houston.
However, the bigger goal as far as James is concerned is leading
the Cavaliers into the playoffs. After last season's collapse,
Cleveland appears to be securely in the postseason this year as
it currently sits in fourth place, 4 1/2 games ahead of
Washington.
James scored 19 of his 36 points in the fourth quarter in
Friday's 94-82 win over Boston. Donyell Marshall contributed 14
points and Ronald Murray added 13 for the Cavaliers, who made
8-of-16 3-pointers in winning their fourth straight game.
Meanwhile, Houston snapped a six-game losing streak Thursday
with a 93-92 triumph over New Orleans.
Yao Ming and Rafer Alston scored 22 points apiece and Juwan
Howard added 16 and 12 boards for the Rockets, who had been 0-14
against the Southwest Division this season.
