Golden State (25-35) at Charlotte (16-45) 7:30 pm EST
CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) - The Golden State Warriors
have a chance to snap a pair of losing streaks Wednesday when
they visit the Charlotte Bobcats.
Losers of three in a row, the Warriors have lost the first two
legs of their five-game road trip to extend their losing streak
away from home to five games.
Both skids continued Tuesday despite the best efforts of Jason
Richardson, who scored 42 points on 16-of-29 shooting in a
113-106 loss at Atlanta.
Richardson' teammates combined to go 22-of-57 (38.5 percent)
from the floor and the club had 16 assists against 16 turnovers.
It also was unable to improve a defense that has allowed at
least 103 points during its current slide.
Losers of nine of their last 11 games, the Bobcats may present
the Warriors an opportunity to pick up their first road win
since February 11. Charlotte opened a three-game homestand with
a difficult 106-105 overtime loss to the Miami Heat on Monday.
Gerald Wallace scored 26 points and Brevin Knight added 24 and
11 assists in the setback as the Bobcats lost an eight-point
lead in the fourth quarter.
Richardson and Baron Davis combined for 43 points in Golden
State's 107-100 victory over Charlotte on December 2.
