Cleveland (32-23) at Detroit (45-9) 12:00 pm EST
AUBURN HILLS, Michigan (Ticker) -- LeBron James hopes to shake
off a shaky second-half performance as he leads the Cleveland
Cavaliers into the front end of a home-and home series against
the Detroit Pistons on Sunday.
James was booed for the first time by the home fans on Friday
after he missed all eight second-half shots in a 102-94 loss
against Washington. He was also just 8-of-19 from the foul
line.
It was a stark contrast to James' first half, when he
recorded 25 points, seven assists and seven rebounds.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas collected 25 points, nine rebounds and five
blocks for Cleveland, which has lost two in a row following a
three-game winning streak.
Detroit, which is playing its third game in four days, is
coming off a 95-87 victory at Chicago on Friday. Chauncey
Billups led six Pistons in double figures with 17 points.
Billups' backcourt mate and fellow All-Star Richard Hamilton
scored 14 points but was ejected after picking up his second
technical foul.
The Cavaliers are just one of eight teams to record a victory
over the Pistons this season. Cleveland posted a 97-84 triumph
over Detroit on December 31, its fifth win in its last eight
meetings with the defending Eastern Conference champions.
The teams meet again Monday night in Cleveland.
