Toronto (7-22) at Indiana (15-11) 7:00 pm EST
INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Morris Peterson is having a greater
impact on the Toronto Raptors and the team is reaping the benefits.
Peterson looks to lead the Raptors to the .500 mark for the
month of December on Friday when they meet the Indiana Pacers
for the first time this season.
The 28-year-old Peterson has played in a league-best 307
consecutive games and has surpassed Alvin Williams to become the
franchise record holder with 418 appearances. He is averaging
13.7 points and 4.8 rebounds this season.
After recording a season-high 11 rebounds against San Antonio
last Friday, Peterson made 10-of-16 shots and scored a
season-high 26 points Wednesday to lead Toronto to a 108-102
victory over the Atlanta Hawks.
Although they are tied with Atlanta and New York for fewest wins
(7), the Raptors look for their fourth win in six games to
finish December with a 7-7 mark after losing 15-of-16 in
November.
Indiana returns from a winless three-game road trip where it
failed to reach 90 points in any game against three of the
league's better teams.
Jermaine O'Neal, who has led the team in scoring in five of
their last six games, had 26 points and Jamaal Tinsley added 20
for the Pacers in Tuesday's 99-86 loss to the Spurs.
Indiana has won 10 of the last 12 meetings against Toronto and
is seeking its fourth straight home victory.
