New York (7-20) at Milwaukee (15-11) 8:30 pm EST
MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- With T.J. Ford out of the lineup for the
next two-to-three weeks, the Milwaukee Bucks will try to prevent
their first three-game losing streak of the season Friday when
they host the New York Knicks.
Ford, who sat out all of last season with a
bruised spinal cord, sprained his left foot in Tuesday's 109-98
loss to the Miami Heat. He is averaging 13.2 points and 6.7
assists this season.
Mo Williams came off the bench to score 24 points and Michael
Redd added 21 for the Bucks, who had a 40-33 rebounding edge in
the loss against the Heat.
Milwaukee has won all six meetings against Atlantic Division
opponents, scoring an average of 105 points in those contests.
The Bucks are wrapping up their second straight winning month
for the first time in four years.
The Knicks are trying to close December on an upbeat note after
losing nine of their last 10 games. New York is tied with
Toronto and Atlanta for fewest victories (7) this season.
Eddy Curry came off the bench to score 29 points and Jamal
Crawford added 24 in a reserve role for the Knicks in
Wednesday's 105-95 loss to the Orlando Magic.
The Knicks shot just 35 percent (31-of-87) from the floor and
the starters accounted for only 20 points. One bright spot for
New York was a 51-38 rebounding edge.
Redd scored 31 points as the Bucks posted a 112-92 triumph over
the Knicks in their first encounter of the season December 12.
Rookie Channing Frye had 30 for New York, which leads the
all-time series, 82-81.
