New Jersey (8-9) at Cleveland (11-6) 7:30 pm EST

CLEVELAND (Ticker) - LeBron James is having a December to remember. However, the Cleveland Cavaliers have not taken full advantage of his performance.

James looks to continue his recent offensive firepower Friday when the Cavaliers return home to face the New Jersey Nets.

A former NBA Rookie of the Year, James has led team in scoring 15 times and ranks third in the league at 28.9 points per game. He has reached 30 points in his last three games but the Cavaliers lost two of those contests.

James scored 11 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter and Larry Hughes added 24 points as Cleveland wrapped up its three-game road trip with a 102-97 triumph over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday.

New Jersey has won three of five but is the only first-place team with a losing record. The Nets lead Philadelphia by one-half game in the Atlantic Division and will face the 76ers on Saturday.

Vince Carter scored 23 points and Richard Jefferson chipped in 21 as New Jersey collected its 1,000th NBA victory with Wednesday's 97-84 win over the Charlotte Bobcats.

Carter, who played with a sore ankle and knee, is averaging 25.5 points and 6.1 rebounds in 20 career games against Cleveland.

New Jersey won three of four meetings against the Cavaliers last season but is just 18-47 all-time at Cleveland.
