Charlotte (5-14) at Philadelphia (8-11) 7:00 pm EST
PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) - The Charlotte Bobcats return to the site
of their only road win of the season Friday when they visit the
reeling Philadelphia 76ers.
The Bobcats are just 1-10 away from home, but that victory came
here on November 4. In the 110-93 triumph, Charlotte was led
by reigning Rookie of the Year Emeka Okafor, whose 24 points
paced six players in double figures.
Charlotte also did a good job on Philadelphia superstar Allen
Iverson, who made only 9-of-24 shots and committed four
turnovers.
The 76ers, who took all three meetings from the Bobcats last
season, desperately need a victory after dropping their fourth
straight game Wednesday, an 88-85 setback to Milwaukee.
Iverson scored 23 points and Samuel Dalembert added 13, 11
rebounds and five blocks for the Sixers, who committed a
season-high 18 turnovers and have dropped eight of 10 following
a six-game winning streak.
The Bobcats also have been struggling, as they dropped their
season-high fifth straight game Wednesday in a 97-84 setback vs.
New Jersey. Brevin Knight collected 23 points, six rebounds,
five assists and four steals for Charlotte, which set a season
low for points.
Charlotte once again may be without shooting guard Kareem Rush,
who has missed the last two games with a sprained left index
finger. The southpaw is second on the team with an average of
15 points per game.
