LOS ANGELES, Nov. 27 (Ticker) -- Ron Artest and Austin Croshere were too much down the stretch for the Los Angeles Clippers to handle.

Artest scored 22 points and Croshere added a season-high 17 as the Indiana Pacers rallied for a 97-92 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers, who became the last NBA team to lose at home this season.

The Pacers held a 94-92 lead in the game's final seconds when guard Jamaal Tinsley missed a short jumper. But Croshere grabbed the rebound and was fouled with 4.2 seconds left, then sank both free throws to seal the victory.

"That was huge," said Croshere, who grabbed eight rebounds. "If they get that, they've got a chance to tie or win the game on the last possession."

"It was important for us to play hard and everything takes care of itself," said Artest, who missed Friday's loss to Atlanta with a bruised right wrist. "Austin (Croshere) came and hit some big shots. That's what he does. You can't leave a guy like that open."

A 6-10 forward with good range, Croshere went 3-of-4 from behind the arc, including his second 3-pointer of the fourth quarter to push Indiana's lead to 88-78 with 7:04 to play.

"I take the game as it comes because we have a lot of scorers on the team in Jermaine (O'Neal), Ron and Stephen (Jackson)," Croshere said. "At best, I'm the fourth option."

Indiana trailed at halftime 54-47, but received nine points apiece from Artest and Jermaine O'Neal in the third quarter to take a 73-70 edge into the final period.

"They made adjustments like good teams do, we just didn't take advantage of it," Clippers forward Corey Maggette said.

O'Neal collected 16 points and 13 rebounds and Stephen Jackson added 15 points for Indiana, which had all five starters score in double figures. The Pacers went 8-of-20 from downtown.

"We wanted this game, we needed to respond well after that loss to Atlanta at home and we know we're a better team," said Jackson, who shot 6-of-15 from the field. "It's still early, a lot of people are panicking, but we know we have a great team. We knew we had to win this game in order for us to keep getting better and we had that on our mind to do that tonight."

Elton Brand had 22 points and 10 rebounds and Chris Kaman collected 18 and 12 for the Clippers, who had been 5-0 at home. Maggette had 13 points at halftime but added just two after the break.

"We made a lot of mistakes that cost us the win," said Maggette, who made 1-of-6 from the field after halftime. "We had it, it was right there. We were doing the right things in the first half and slipped towards the second half."
