SALT LAKE CITY, Nov. 21 (Ticker) -- Deron Williams stole the show in the homecoming of fellow rookie Andrew Bogut.

Williams recorded his second double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 assists as the Utah Jazz ended a five-game losing streak with a 100-80 triumph over the Milwaukee Bucks.

The top overall pick in June's draft, Bogut earned several top collegiate honors while playing here for Utah. The crowd gave him an enthusiastic ovation when he entered the game off the bench early in the first quarter.

"I didn't expect that. It was nice to get that ovation," Bogut said. "I think the people respect me. I had a great time here and I think they know that."

Unfortunately for the 7-foot Australian, foul trouble limited him to just eight points and seven rebounds in 22 minutes.

"It was good just to be back in the city, but I wasn't too happy with the way we played," Bogut said.

"I didn't put any attention on (Bogut)," Williams said. "I don't read the papers, so I don't know what kind of attention was on him. We were just focused on getting the win. I couldn't care less about Andrew Bogut and what he does. We just try to stop him."

Williams, the third selection, was one the catalysts when the Jazz first pulled away. The point guard helped cap a 14-4 burst when he assisted on Gordan Giricek's 3-pointer, came up with a steal and then dished it for Mehmet Okur's 3-pointer 27 seconds later to give Utah a 51-36 lead with 1:03 left in the first half.

"I think the reason we won is because we executed today," Williams said. "That's something we got away from in our five losses. If we push the ball in transition, we're going to get easy baskets. That's going to open up a lot of things when we run our offense.

"We needed this win bad. It feels great but it's just another win. We've got to build on that. We can't go back and lose five more. We've got to continue to go forward."

Giricek, who has struggled to find an offensive rhythm since missing two games with tonsillitis, found it Monday, connecting on 8-of-14 shots for 18 points.

"I was sick, I was lying in bed for two days," Giricek said. "I'm surprised how two days in bed can ruin your shape. The last two games, my legs were pretty weak. I'm getting my legs back. Tonight, my shot was way softer than in the previous two games."

Giricek scored five points during a second 14-4 burst in the third quarter which made it 68-46 with 5:47 remaining. Jazz center Greg Ostertag was big during that burst, collecting four points, five rebounds, two blocks and an assist.

"We had a lot of people play well to try and win this game," Utah coach Jerry Sloan said. "Our second group came in the first part of the ballgame and gave us a tremendous lift. They had a lot of energy and it seemed like Milwaukee didn't have as much energy tonight."

Michael Redd scored 25 points, including 10-of-13 from the line. Unfortunately, his Milwaukee teammates made just 10 of their 21 free-throw attempts.

The Milwaukee frontcourt was dominated by Utah's big men as the Jazz held a 53-35 advantage on the boards.

"We didn't do a good job boxing out and they punished us," Bogut said. "They got a lot of second and third shots."
