Cleveland (7-2) at Philadelphia (6-4) 7:00 pm EST
PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The Cleveland Cavaliers are barely
breaking a sweat.
One of the most dominant teams in the early-going, the Cavaliers
look to match their best winning streak in the past seven
seasons when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday.
With a victory, Cleveland will match a seven-game run
accomplished during the 2003-04 season, the club's longest
winning streak since a 10-game surge in 1997-98.
During their current six-game roll, the Cavaliers have won by an
average of 16.5 points and they posted another rout Friday with
a 102-84 triumph over Orlando, improving on the club's best
start in 17 years.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas led the way with 22 points and 11 rebounds
and Drew Gooden added 15 and 10. LeBron James, who led
Cleveland in scoring in each of its first eight games, chipped
in 16.
Philadelphia knows what Cleveland is going through. The 76ers
took a six-game run into Miami on Friday before exiting with a
106-96 loss. Allen Iverson scored 33 points and Chris Webber
contributed 21 and 10 rebounds in a losing effort.
Philadelphia has won 20 of the last 23 meetings between the
teams, including all three last season.
