CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- Zydrunas Ilguaskas collected 22 points
and 11 rebounds as the red-hot Cleveland Cavaliers breezed to an
easy 102-82 victory over the Orlando Magic.
The league leader in offensive rebounds with 34, Ilguaskas could
not be contained on the glass, grabbing eight offensive boards,
with seven coming before halftime.
The Cavaliers outrebounded the Magic, 25-11, on the offensive
glass and 54-40 overall, marking the first time this season
Orlando was beaten on the boards.
The Cavaliers used a 10-2 run in the second quarter to open a
41-31 lead that they built to 56-42 at the half. Their defense
stepped up, scoring 13 points off nine turnovers by the Magic.
LeBron James put any hope of a comeback by the Magic out of
reach when Luke Jackson found him for an thunderous onehand
alley-oop dunk giving Cleveland an 82-62 lead with 21 second
left in the third.
James scored 16 points, Drew Gooden added 15 and 10 rebounds and
Damon Jones shot 5-of-8 from the arc for 15 points for the
Cavaliers, who have outscored opponents by an average of more
than 16 points during their streak.
Steve Francis scored 21 points and Dwight Howard added 10 and 15
rebounds for his sixth consecutive double-double for the Magic.
