Seattle (2-5) at Boston (3-4), 7:30 pm EST
BOSTON (Ticker) -- The road has not been kind to the Seattle
SuperSonics. The Boston Celtics are hoping to keep it that way.
The Sonics wrap up a season high-tying six-game road trip
Wednesday when they take on the Celtics at TD Banknorth Garden.
After splitting a pair of home games to start the season,
Seattle embarked on a six-game trip that has been nothing short
of dismal.
The Sonics lost the first three of the swing by an average score
of 31.0 points before salvaging a 126-121 overtime win at
winless Toronto on Sunday. The good feelings brought on by that
triumph quickly were erased with another loss in New Jersey on
Tuesday.
Rashard Lewis, who scored 41 points Sunday, had 29 in the 109-99
setback. Sharpshooter Ray Allen was limited to 19 on just
4-of-18 shooting.
Boston had a chance to knock off the unbeaten Detroit Pistons on
Tuesday but was blitzed by a second-half charge and eventually
fell, 115-100.
The Celtics held a 58-48 lead at halftime and carried a
four-point edge into the fourth quarter before things fell
apart.
Ricky Davis scored 31 points and Paul Pierce added 23 for
Boston, which has won five of the last six and 10 of the last 13
meetings with Seattle.
