Indiana (4-2) at Charlotte (2-6), 7:30 pm EST
CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- The Indiana Pacers have
had three days to mull over a major collapse. The Charlotte
Bobcats hope they have not recovered.
The Pacers will try to hand the Bobcats their sixth straight
loss when the teams meet Wednesday at Charlotte Bobcats Arena.
One of the favorites in the Eastern Conference, Indiana were
dealt a loss Saturday in Milwaukee normally reserved for the
league's lesser teams.
The Pacers led the Bucks, 96-82, with less than four minutes to
play and carried a 98-90 lead into the final minute. But a
series of mishaps and a poor decision by Anthony Johnson to foul
Michael Redd on a 3-pointer preceded a game-winning 3-pointer
at the buzzer by Milwaukee's Maurice Williams that sealed a
103-102 setback.
Indiana, which was led by Jermaine O'Neal's 27 points and 10
rebounds, made just 15-of-26 free throws in the fourth quarter.
After opening the season 2-1, Charlotte has dropped five in a
row, including Tuesday's 85-77 setback at Orlando to cap an 0-2
road trip.
Keith Bogans scored 18 points and rookie Sean May had his best
effort as a pro with 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Bobcats,
who have lost all three meetings with the Pacers.
