Milwaukee (4-1) at La Clippers (5-2), 10:30 pm EST
LOS ANGELES (Ticker) - Two of the surprise teams in the NBA meet
Tuesday when the Milwaukee Bucks open a four-game road trip
against the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Bucks are coming off an exhilarating three-game homestand in
which they took care of Miami and Indiana - two of the
favorites in the Eastern Conference - and did so in dramatic
fashion.
Milwaukee trailed Indiana by 14 points in the fourth quarter and
was down, 101-97, in the final minute before finishing a
memorable rally, capped by Maurice Williams' game-winning
3-pointer at the buzzer that sealed a 103-102 triumph.
Michael Redd scored 28 points and made three free throws to pull
the Bucks within 101-100 with 7.3 seconds to go. T.J. Ford
added 19 points and nine assists for Milwaukee, which is off to
its best start since 2001-02.
Despite a 113-108 loss to Philadelphia on Sunday, Los Angeles
returns from a 2-2 road trip atop the Pacific Division.
Elton Brand scored 32 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the
182nd double-double of his career, eclipsing the team record he
shared with Loy Vaught.
Milwaukee has lost its last five road games against Los Angeles.
