MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Houston Rockets hope to get a
complete effort from Tracy McGrady when they continue a
five-game homestand Tuesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
McGrady returned early from back spasms to lead the Rockets to a
99-91 victory over New Jersey on Saturday but was limited
Sunday in Boston as Houston fell, 102-82.
In 27 minutes, McGrady scored just 14 points and had four
turnovers as the Rockets fell to 1-2 on the road trip with their
most lopsided loss this season.
Houston's previous three setbacks came by a total of 13 points.
Tuesday's contest marks the first of three straight at home for
the Timberwolves, who dropped a 102-91 decision Sunday in
Denver.
Wally Szczerbiak scored 20 points and Kevin Garnett had 19 for
Minnesota. Rookie Rashad McCants had his finest effort as a pro
with 14 points, one steal and one block in 18 minutes.
