San Antonio (3-1) at Charlotte (2-2), 7:30 pm EST
CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- The Charlotte Bobcats
may not have leading scorer Gerald Wallace in the lineup
Wednesday when they host the San Antonio Spurs.
The 23-year-old Wallace, who scored a season-high 28 points in
the season opener against Chicago and is second in the league in
steals (2.75), is listed as doubtful with a mild concussion
suffered Monday against Utah.
Primoz Brezec and rookie Sean May scored 13 points each and
Emeka Okafor added 12 with 11 rebounds for his fourth straight
double-double in Charlotte's 95-91 overtime loss to the Jazz.
The Bobcats are averaging 103.3 points to rank among the league
leaders and became the third team in history to open with three
overtime games in their first four contests, joining the 1991-92
Los Angeles Lakers and the 1960-61 Philadelphia Warriors.
The defending champion Spurs have been a model of consistency in
their first four games, scoring more than 100 points in each
while limiting opponents to an average of 86.5.
Tony Parker scored eight of his 22 points in overtime Monday as
San Antonio bounced back from its first defeat of the season
with a 104-95 triumph over the Chicago Bulls.
Two-time Most Valuable Player Tim Duncan collected his fourth
straight double-double with 24 points and 16 rebounds and Manu
Ginobili added 14 and 13 for the Spurs, who won their seventh
consecutive overtime contest.
Charlotte lost both encounters against San Antonio in its
inaugural campaign last season, averaging just 80.5 points.
