Orlando (1-3) at New Orleans (2-1), 8:00 pm EST
OKLAHOMA CITY (Ticker) -- Fresh off their first victory of
the season, the Orlando Magic will make their only appearance at
the Ford Center when they take on the New Orleans Hornets on
Wednesday.
Despite being held under 80 points for the third time in four
games, the punchless Magic managed a 76-74 victory at Houston on
Tuesday.
Steve Francis scored 27 points and Jameer Nelson added 10 in the
final 3 1/2 minutes as Orlando avoided its first 0-4 start
since the 1990-91 season.
The Magic's win left the league with just three winless teams.
The Hornets, one of the teams expected to struggle, avoided that
scenario with a win in their opener and posted their first road
triumph Saturday, also at Houston.
P.J. Brown led five players in double figures with 18 points and
grabbed 13 rebounds as New Orleans posted its second win in
three games to start the season.
The Hornets needed 17 games to pick up their second victory last
season, when they posted a franchise-low 18 wins.
Orlando forward Hedo Turkoglu averaged 21.5 points in his club's
two wins over New Orleans in 2004-05.
