LA Lakers (3-1) at Minnesota (2-2), 8:00 pm EST

MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- So far, Kobe Bryant has responded extremely well to Phil Jackson's return.

Bryant will try to keep alive an impressive scoring stretch when he leads the Los Angeles Lakers into a matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.

Many wondered how Bryant would react to the return of Jackson, who guided Bryant and the Lakers to three NBA titles from 2000-2002 and to a Western Conference title in 2004.

The early results could not be much better as Bryant has led Los Angeles to wins in three of their first four games while scoring at least 33 points in each. He had 37 on 15-of-26 shooting in a 103-97 victory over Atlanta on Tuesday when the Lakers started their four-game road trip.

Smush Parker added 21 points for Los Angeles and Bryant continued a dominant start to his season. Bryant is shooting 51 percent (57-of-111) from the floor in posting a 34.5 scoring average and pacing one of the league's top offenses.

The Lakers have been held under 100 points just once, when Bryant made a jumper in the waning seconds of a 99-97 overtime victory at Denver to start the season.

The Timberwolves are coming off a fine defensive effort against the other Los Angeles team, holding the Clippers to just 33 second-half points in a 93-78 win on Monday.

Kevin Garnett scored 22 points and shot 8-of-11, spearheading Minnesota's 53 percent (38-of-72) effort from the floor.

Los Angeles owns a 45-17 lead in the all-time series and has won three of the last four meetings.
