Utah (1-0) at Golden State (1-0), 10:30 pm EST

OAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- The Golden State Warriors entered this season with high expectations. On Friday, they have a chance to accomplish something for the first time in more than decade.

The Warriors look to open a season with consecutive wins for the first time since 1994 when they host the Utah Jazz on Friday.

Golden State closed last season with a 14-4 record, including six wins against playoff teams. The Warriors picked up right where they left off Wednesday, as they cruised to a 122-97 triumph over Atlanta.

Jason Richardson scored 28 points and Troy Murphy added 19 on 8-of-8 shooting for the Warriors, who shot over 58 percent (43-of-74).

The victory was slightly tainted by the loss of star guard Baron Davis, who spearheaded last season's strong finish. The two-time All-Star left with a strained left hamstring and is listed as day-to-day.

Utah kicked off its season with a 93-82 triumph vs. Dallas on Wednesday behind Mehmet Okur, who collected 27 points and eight rebounds, and first-round pick Deron Williams, who added 18 points and three assists in his professional debut.

The Jazz have won 33 of the last 41 meetings with the Warriors, who took two of three between the teams last season.
