Detroit (1-0) at Boston (1-0), 7:30 pm EST

BOSTON (Ticker) -- Richard Hamilton looks to pick up where he left off when the Detroit Pistons visit the Boston Celtics on Friday.

Hamilton flourished in his first game under new coach Flip Saunders, as the Pistons won, 108-88, against Philadelphia in their home opener on Wednesday.

The sharp-shooting Hamilton made 16-of-24 shots, scoring 37 points and six rebounds thanks to the motion offense that allowed him to run defenders ragged through picks and screens all night.

Boston's Ricky Davis had similar success in his season debut, scoring 27 points as the Celtics posted a 114-100 overtime victory over the New York Knicks on Wednesday. Davis netted nine in the extra session.

Four-time All-Star Paul Pierce had 30 points and 12 rebounds in the season-opening triumph in which all five Celtics starters scored in double digits.

Detroit took three of four from Boston last season, splitting their two meetings in Boston.
