DENVER, Oct. 26 (Ticker) -- Carmelo Anthony scored 26 points and Nenê
added 25 as the Denver Nuggets held on for a 118-115 preseason
victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Point guards Andre Miller and Earl Boykins scored 16 points each
and Voshon Lenard added 12 for the Nuggets, who shot 53 percent
(40-of-75) from the field to easily overcome 23 turnovers.
The Nuggets led by nine points with less than 90 seconds to go
but saw their advantage narrowed to one point on two occasions,
the last time at 116-115 on a basket by top overall pick
Andrew Bogut with eight seconds left.
Miller responded with two free throws, and Milwaukee's T.J. Ford
missed a potential tying 3-pointer.
Michael Redd scored 25 points and Ford added 22 and 10 assists
for the Bucks, who had six players in double figures and shot 47
percent (41-of-87). Bogut had 17 points and seven rebounds.
