FRESNO, Calif., Oct. 23 (Ticker) -- Shawn Marion, Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns were clearly conditioning themselves for the regular season.

Marion scored 16 points and Nash chipped in with 15 as the Suns posted a 100-88 preseason victory over the Sacramento Kings at the Save Mart Center.

The defending Western Conference champions, Phoenix's only two returning starters from last season are Marion and Nash.

Raja Bell, the new starting shooting guard in place of Joe Johnson, scored 15 points for the Suns, who held a 56-45 lead at halftime.

Rookie Francisco Garcia scored 16 points and second-year swingman Kevin Martin added 15 for the Kings, who sat most of their key players after the first quarter.

Peja Stojakovic scored 10 points in the opening period, but Sacramento still trailed 26-22 at the end of the quarter.

Stojakovic and fellow stars Mike Bibby and Brad Miller did not play over the final 36 minutes and combined to play just 32.
