One of the top perimeter shooters in the NBA, Lenard suffered his injury during the first game of the 2004-05 season. He struggled in his first game back but erupted for 17 points Saturday against Portland.

Lenard made 7-of-13 shots in this one, including all three of his attempts in the final period.

With the score tied at 89-89, Lenard converted a layup with 3:33 remaining to give the Nuggets the lead and ignite a 7-2 spurt, capped by Lenard's basket 72 seconds later that made it 96-91.

Sacramento cut its deficit to 100-99 on rookie Francisco Garcia's 3-pointer with 35 seconds left and Anthony responded with a 23-foot jumper at the other end.

The Kings had a chance to tie it, but point guard Jason Hart fell to the ground with an apparent hip injury and had to give up the ball. Rookie Ronnie Price failed to hit the rim on a desperation 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Hart had to be helped off the court and his status is unknown.

Peja Stojakovic scored 18 points ad Brad Miller added 17 for Sacramento, which shot 41 percent (32-of-78) and committed 18 turnovers.
