SAN ANTONIO (Ticker) -- After surviving a long overtime contest in Game Four, the San Antonio Spurs are on the verge of eliminating the Denver Nuggets.

The Spurs have won three straight in the series, including two at Denver, and can advance to their eighth Western Conference semifinal in nine years with a victory on Wednesday.

Two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Tim Duncan had his best game of the series with 39 points and 14 rebounds before fouling out in the extra period as San Antonio posted a 126-115 triumph at Denver on Monday.

Tony Parker scored 29 points and Manu Ginobili came off the bench to add 24 for the Spurs, who failed to hold a 12-point second-half lead before outscoring the Nuggets, 19-8 in overtime.

San Antonio can close out Denver at home, where the Spurs had the league's best mark at 38-3. But Denver took the series opener here on April 24 before failing to score 80 points in the next two games.

Monday's contest took more than three hours to complete, making it the longest playoff game in Nuggets history. There were 73 fouls and the teams took 91 free throws.

Earl Boykins came off the bench to score 32 points and Carmelo Anthony added 28 - playoff career-highs for both - for Denver, which must win three straight to avoid a second straight first-round loss. Boykins finished third in the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year Award balloting.

If the Nuggets stave off elimination with a win, the series would shift back to Denver for Game Six on Friday.
