WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- The Washington Wizards and Orlando
Magic meet on Saturday for the second time in as many days.
The Magic posted a 108-101 triumph at the TD Waterhouse Center
on Friday. Steve Francis made just 1-of-12 shots from the
floor, but the one basket was a jumper with 45 seconds left that
proved to be the game-winner.
Hedo Turkoglu tied a career-high with 31 points as he returned
to the bench after being in the starting lineup in his previous
eight games. Grant Hill added 22 and eight rebounds in the
victory.
Washington's Gilbert Arenas scored 30 points despite having just
12 on 3-of-11 shooting through the first three quarters. Since
scoring just three points on January 17 against the San Antonio
Spurs, he has scored 30 or more points in five of six games.
Antawn Jamison scored 28 points for Washington, which had its
four-game winning streak halted.
The Wizards won the only other meeting between the teams this
season, 106-96, at the MCI Center. Jamison and Larry Hughes
scored 26 apiece for Washington while Hill added 24 for Orlando.
Hughes is on the injured list.
