LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The Golden State Warriors hope to put an end to their January woes when they travel to the Staples Center on Saturday to face the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Warriors have lost their last four games and are just 1-13 in 2005 - the worst January record in the NBA.

On Friday, Golden State dropped an 88-85 decision to the Northwest Division-leading Seattle SuperSonics at The Arena in Oakland. Calbert Cheaney came off the bench to score a season-high 21 points in the loss.

Jason Richardson added 20 for the Warriors, who have reached 100 points just three times in their last 14 games after scoring 100 or more in three of their previous four games.

The Clippers had won back-to-back contests before losing at Portland on Friday, 90-86. Elton Brand scored 26 in the loss. He has averaged 25.8 points in his last five games - six points above his season average.

Brand also grabbed 12 rebounds in the game and is averaging over 13 boards in his last nine contests.

Bobby Simmons added 16 points on 7-of-26 shooting while Corey Maggette came off the bench for the first time this season and scored just eight points in 26 minutes.

The Clippers have two victories against the Warriors this season - both in Oakland. The teams split their two meetings in Los Angeles last season.
