SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- The powerful San Antonio Spurs try
to continue their mastery over the reeling Utah Jazz when they
match up Monday at the Delta Center.
The Spurs have won 18 straight games over the Jazz, including a
109-76 home rout on November 27.
Utah, which has not beaten San Antonio since a 93-90 home
triumph on February 6, 2000, has lost eight in a row to the
Spurs here since then.
The Jazz have lost nine straight games overall, including an
89-86 setback at Milwaukee on Saturday.
Carlos Boozer scored 28 points to pace Utah, which has not lost
10 in a row since a franchise-record 18-game skid in the 1981-82
campaign.
San Antonio has won eight of its last nine games, including a
99-90 triumph over Denver on Saturday. Manu Ginobili scored 22
points and Tony Parker added 20 and eight assists in the win.
