DALLAS (Ticker) -- After playing five of their last seven games on the road, the Dallas Mavericks begin a stretch of seven of eight at home when they host the Boston Celtics on Tuesday.

The Mavericks took four of five on the road trip and have won 10 games away from the American Airlines Center after posting just 16 wins on the road last season.

Dallas rebounded from a humiliating loss at Atlanta by knocking off the Denver Nuggets, 102-88, at the Pepsi Center on Sunday. Dirk Nowitzki scored 36 points - his 10th game with at least 30 this season - and grabbed eight rebounds.

Michael Finley added 20 points and eight rebounds against the Nuggets.

The Celtics lost their 15th straight game to the Spurs, 107-90, on Sunday. Ricky Davis continued to be a solid sixth man for the club, scoring 21 points in defeat.

Paul Pierce mustered only 16 points against San Antonio on 5-of-13 shooting. Gary Payton scored only 10 but dished out five assists.

The Mavericks have won seven of the last eight meetings against the Celtics with the teams splitting last week's matchups.
