SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Oct. 22 (Ticker) -- The New York Knicks
endured their third straight lopsided loss, a 102-82
trouncing at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves, who got 21
points and nine rebounds from Kevin Garnett.
With the regular season less than two weeks away, the Knicks
have lost three games this week by a combined 82 points. They
were coming off Thursday's 112-74 setback at Dallas.
Wally Szczerbiak scored 20 points on 10-of-15 shooting for the
Timberwolves, who pulled away in the second half when they
outscored the Knicks, 49-36.
Michael Olowokandi chipped in with 17 points for Minnesota,
which shot 52 percent (46-of-88).
Kurt Thomas had 16 points and nine rebounds for the Knicks, who
shot 33 percent (26-of-78) and committed 18 turnovers.
