MILWAUKEE, Jan. 7 (Ticker) -- Chris Webber was in superb form after a much-needed rest.

Webber had 18 points, 13 rebounds and six assists after a nine-day layoff as the Sacramento Kings opened a three-game road trip with a 101-76 rout of the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Kings had a six-day break in their schedule before Saturday's game at Denver and kept Webber out of the last two contests due to a bruised knee. The All-Star forward played for the first time since December 28 and hardly looked like he was nursing an injury.

"It feels good right now. The test will be when I wake up in the morning," Webber said. "It wasn't the most serious of injuries, but the play was good. I didn't think about it."

"It was great to have him back," Sacramento coach Rick Adelman said. "With him and Vlade (Divac), they are so versatile that having Chris back, we have two good passers up front."

Webber played a team-high 33 minutes and made 9-of-20 shots. The Kings' offense was in top form as they shot 50 percent (41-of-82) from the floor and committed just nine turnovers.

"Chris brings so many different things to the game," said guard Doug Christie, who scored 12 points. "He can grab the ball off the rebound. He can bring it up, he gets 20-foot jump shots. Just his presence draws a double-team. To have Webb back out on the floor is big for us."

Mike Bibby scored 20 points and reserve Damon Jones added 10 for Sacramento, which has won three straight and five of its last six games. Jones made 3-of-3 shots from beyond the arc and Bibby was 2-of-4.

The Kings never trailed after the opening minute and had a 45-38 lead with 3:17 left in the second quarter before pulling away with an 11-4 run.

Bibby had a 3-pointer and two free throws and Webber added a jumper and layup during the burst, which gave Sacramento a 56-42 cushion with 23 seconds remaining.

The Kings carried a 56-44 cushion into halftime, and the Bucks got no closer thereafter.

Sacramento led by as many as 21 in the third quarter and had its biggest advantage at 85-58 on a jumper by Bobby Jackson with 7:47 to go in the game.

Ray Allen scored 16 points and Anthony Mason added 13 as Milwaukee played without point guard Sam Cassell, who is sidelined with a sore back.

Tim Thomas had 13 points on 4-of-16 shooting as the Bucks shot just 37 percent (29-of-78) from the floor.

"It was a long game and we didn't do our part on either end of the court," Milwaukee coach George Karl said. "We get frustrated when we don't make shots and we lose confidence. We played a (heck) of a basketball team that seems to be on a big-time mission."

"As a team, we need to learn that when shots don't fall, we need to penetrate and look to pass the ball," Thomas added. "In order to beat a team like Sacramento, you have to be able to create open shots and find the open man. We didn't do either one, and you saw the results."

Thomas opened the game with a 17-foot jumper, Divac followed with a layup and Peja Stojakovic buried a 3-pointer just 66 seconds into the game to give the Kings the lead for good.

Sacramento led by as many as 14 points in the opening period as Bibby scored 10 and Webber six. The Bucks got eight of the final 10 points in the quarter to pull within 29-22.
