San Antonio (57-24) remained in a first-place tie with Dallas in the Midwest Division with one game remaining. The Spurs conclude their regular season at Utah on Wednesday, while the Mavericks play at Phoenix.
The Spurs hold the tiebreaker over the Mavs and would win the division if the teams end up tied. San Antonio won three of four meetings from Dallas this season.

In this one, Duncan made 11-of-16 shots en route to his league-leading 66th double-double. He had 10 points in the opening quarter, when the Spurs scored the first five points and built a 31-15 lead.
The All-Star forward had 17 points and nine rebounds by halftime as San Antonio extended its advantage to 57-33. With the game in hand, Duncan departed with 3:06 remaining in the third quarter.
"We were really business-like tonight," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. "We knew what we needed to do and came out and executed. A lot of people played well for us tonight."
The Spurs shot 53 percent (41-of-77) and limited Phoenix, which never led, to 38 percent (31-of-82) and its lowest point total of the season. The total also was the fewest the Spurs have allowed this season.
"The best thing about this game is that it's over," Suns coach Frank Johnson said. "They came out and pushed us around. They're gearing up for something and we're gearing down for some time off -- it's a big difference."
"We got off to a slow start," said Stephon Marbury, who had 11 points. "They just dominated us tonight. We had a lot of defensive breakdowns. We have to play sharper."
Joe Johnson paced Phoenix with 12 points. Shawn Marion scored just two points on 1-of-11 shooting for the Suns, who lost for the seventh time in eight games.
Dan Majerle, who is retiring after the season, made 3-of-4 3-pointers and finished with 11 points.
"We just got to get a win for him," Marion said. "It's sad to see him go but he's had a great career. We're going to go out and try to get a win for him."
"We're getting ready for tomorrow night, Dan's last night. It'll be an emotional night. We're going to go out and play for him."
The Spurs played without center David Robinson, who was placed on the injured list earlier in the day with a lower back strain.
"I feel pretty good seeing how the day after the Detroit game (last Friday) I woke up pretty sore," Robinson said. "My lower back had a pinching nerve thing going on back there. Every day things are getting a little bit better for me. I am looking forward to this weekend and should be fine by this weekend. We are taking it day by day."
"It's good for him to get the rest he needs before the playoffs start," Duncan said. "David is a big part of what we do and we'll need him for the playoffs."
